Today’s realization is that it’s just as important to listen to your editor’s edits as it is to listen to their guidance on the path of future work.
This is a moment of thanks for that advice. And a moment of gratitude for whatever circumstances that gave me the wisdom to actually listen. I suspect they were unwelcome, possibly brutal, at the time.
